Intro Week - Welcome Everyone to a New Program Year
One of our assistants, Joshua, draws for some of the SEEDS kids.
Welcome to WATER from the Well for 2026-2027! Here you can read about the week, see photos and learn about supplemental readings at home. This week’s newsletter will be a bit shorter as this was an introductory week, reviewing our routines and getting to know the new schedules.

THE GARDEN
We had an amazing first day at the Garden! The children were eagerly awaiting to come in and were very patient as their classmates said goodbye to their parents and entered the room one by one. Our focus on our first few weeks is to get to know each other and the routines of our day. When the children came in, Mr. Jean showed them how to find their name and flip their attendance picture. Then, they hung up their backpacks and took their water bottle inside to the classroom. Once inside, they worked with the materials at the table until worship time. We learned that our large green carpet is a place where we gather, pray, sing, and listen to the lesson from God’s word every day. After our park and snack time, we showed the children the calendar and new weather chart. During activity time, the children were able to draw and sculpt. We practiced how to put away our materials and get ready for the final park time of the day. We finished our day with the story of a gosling called Gus. The kids did a wonderful job and said goodbye with smiles all around. We can’t wait for our next day together!
SEEDS
Last Friday, the SEEDS joined us and were so excited to see all the changes to the facilities. They even named our new entryway “the garden,” which has inspired us to plant more in that area with them over the year to come.

OAKS
We are happy to welcome all the new students to the Oaks Program. We focused on establishing routines and learning a little about our new Creative Writing class taught by Mr. Jean. The students in the AM program began reading the Old Testament (starting with Genesis) and in the afternoon, we enjoyed our time together in the park and at Physical Education with Mrs. Michelle.
In both Anatomy and Physics the students played an icebreaker game called “My life in Numbers” in order to get to know each other better. The students learned new things about each other and had a fun time. We spent some time looking through the first chapters of their textbooks as well as the Canvas learning platform where all of the classroom materials are located. Finally, they had a chance to draw in their next textbooks; the Physics students designed their own cover and the Pre-Anatomy class drew a picture of a human body with the parts they know about.
