How many students can be enrolled in the program at once?
We have spaces for a maximum of 8 children for The Garden, 30 children for Seeds, and 20 for the Oaks physical programs in 2026-2027.Is there an online component?
Online classes are still a possibility if there arises a need to return to a distance learning model (as was the case during the pandemic of 2020).Is this a bilingual program?
No. All the subjects offered are taught in English. However, teachers are bilingual and will use Spanish when it is clear that a child may not understand something in English. We recommend that parents incorporate Spanish and other languages in the content they offer at home. How do you teach multiple ages at the same time?
Teaching children in multi-age classrooms provides a more authentic approach to learning. Older children develop leadership skills while the younger children learn from their older peers (much like siblings at home). In our program the children will be together for some classes, such as the Opening and Closing meetings, Bible, Park, and Studio Time. For Science and History in SEEDS, the children are divided into sub-groups such as grades 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6, depending on enrollment. This will allow the teachers to teach the content in a way that addresses their developmental stages and abilities. In the OAKS program, students are together for Opening and Closing meetings, Bible, Park, and Studio Time, but take Science and History separately.Do the children receive grades?
No. This program serves to supplement the homeschooling curriculum the child receives. We will provide a certificate of participation at the end of the year based on attendance which parents may use in documenting their own transcripts. We also provide verbal feedback to parents throughout the year. We can provide coaching for parents who desire to develop their own transcripts. Is lunch or snack provided?
No. However, students must bring their own snacks and water for their break times. Only students in the Full-Day OAKS program must bring their own lunch, water and snacks. What is the daily schedule?
2 Days per week (See specific program pages for details). Students in the OAKS High School program will be following their individual plans on the days they are at home.Do I have to buy the books?
Yes. The books are required for the Seeds and Oaks programs and must be purchased through The Well Center for the Arts. If there are any additional books or materials that must be purchased independently (such as notebooks, etc), we will communicate that at orientation. Is there homework?
Only for the OAKS Full-Day program (Option B). For all other programs, parents are strongly encouraged to engage their children with the books purchased in the family package, reviewing and deepening their experience at home. We will provide a weekly schedule online through our WATER from the Well Newsletter so that parents can read along with their children and know what topics are being covered that week.Do I need to use the same curriculum at home with other subjects?
Only for the Oaks High School Full-day Program (excluding Math). For all other programs, no, you do not need to use My Father’s World. Families have the flexibility to choose an alternate curriculum for Language Arts, Math and any other subjects that suit their children. My child is new to the program. Will they be lost if they haven’t participated last year?
No. Specific knowledge of the content from last year is not required, however teachers will work to help answer questions from new students and families whenever they may arise. At times, there are additional books that will need to be purchased because they are ones used in previous years.I’m new to homeschooling. What are the regulations in Puerto Rico?
