WEEK 34: Splashing into Summer!

Nothing like a water slide on a hot day to celebrate summer vacation.

What an amazing end to this school year! Our Oaks and Garden students gathered for a final school day to enjoy a picnic with treats and their request: popcorn! In the Garden, we honored Juan Diego and read his birthday book: Does God Sleep? Then we enjoyed playtime indoors and outdoors with their favorite stuffed animals and gathered their materials together to share with the parents at the end of the day. The Oaks students worked rebuilding their “Sanitizomatic 2000” to share with their guests at the end of the day. Although it rained and we lost power, we still enjoyed a sweet time together worshiping the Lord by singing Juntos Cantaremos and reciting scripture. The Garden students shared their Bible Books and Mr. Jared gave each family a printed version of the OAKS students’ stories inspired by Patricia St. John’s A Young Person’s Guide to Knowing God. Finally, Emma read the book the Garden students wrote together called Vegetables go Swimming and the families were finally able to see the “Sanitizomatic 2000” in action.

After all the hard work it was time to celebrate together on Wednesday! The Lord blessed us with a wonderful sunny day to splash in the outdoor slide! The children followed instructions and enjoyed their day. What a great end to a great year that the Lord had blessed us with.
