2021- 2022 End of the Year Celebration
What a Year!

Both the Garden students and the SEEDS perform the hymn, “His Mercy is More” at the presentation on June 16, 2022.
We praise God for a sweet and fun ending to our first fully on-site year!
The Garden enjoyed a lovely tea party on their last day together. They had their favorite stuffed animals as special guests. They baked their own biscuits and there was honey to share, of course, as we remembered our recent study of bees. We also had fun dancing along with our stuffed animals to Rimsky Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee.”
In Seeds, we enjoyed a rainy day indoors having yummy donuts to celebrate Mateo’s birthday and reading his beautiful birthday book by Joni Eareckson Tada, The Awesome Super Fantastic Forever Party. We talked about how Joni is in a wheelchair due to an accident that she had when she was a teenager. She had to relearn all the things she used to do now as a quadriplegic. Although frustrating at times, Joni has persevered and is not only an incredible painter (she paints with her mouth!) author, and singer but her passion is to encourage others with disabilities to trust Jesus and live life to the fullest. You can learn more about her amazing ministry at www.joniandfriends.org. Our final activity was making bookmarks with watercolor paints to give as presents to the men who are recovering from addiction in a home called “Land of Freedom” in San Sebastián. You can check out a slideshow of this outreach organized by Christian Community Church and held on June 24 by clicking here. We were asked to prepare the art for this event. The children were able to use their gifts for God’s glory as they were inspired by the word “Freedom” and the words of the prophet Isaiah:
“But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.”
Enjoy all the pictures below. Please stay in touch! We will see you in August.
Can’t wait for August? Spaces are still available for our Summer Arts Program, July 11-15. Registration closeS on June 30.
